Thornden School are seeking an outstanding individual to join our successful MFL Department as a Teacher of MFL.  Thornden School offers an outstanding induction, training, and development opportunities.

The languages department at Thornden is thriving and high-achieving.  We run exchanges and trips and students also watch plays in the TL in years 8 and 9.  The school celebrates a languages week every September.  This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, supportive department with a philosophy of pedagogy, passion and panache.

About the role:

  • To teach MFL (we offer French and Spanish) to an outstanding standard to all Key Stage 3 and 4 year groups.
  • To assist in raising and maintaining standards of student attainment and achievement in the MFL department.
  • To promote learning and to monitor, support and be accountable for student progress in MFL.
  • To ensure consistently high levels of professionalism are maintained.
  • To promote the school’s belief in creating a safe environment for students through robust safeguarding practices and maintaining an environment where students feel confident to approach any member of staff with a concern.
