Inspiring Future Teachers (IFT) is seeking an experienced teacher, with knowledge of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to lead the HISP Teacher Training Hub, as part of Inspiring Future Teachers. You'll play a vital role in leading the ongoing review and development of the HISP Teacher Training Hub, leading and working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operational activities and delivery of the training programme. You will work as part of Inspiring Future Teachers to ensure high-quality programme delivery and compliance, in line with the DfE ITT Criteria. Your knowledge and support will provide valuable insights and guidance to a team of expert colleagues working alongside you as part of HISP Teacher Training, including Mentors and Professional Tutors within partnership schools.

About the role:

  • To lead in the delivery and quality assurance of the IFT curriculum.
  • To work with trainees, mentors and assessors in leading the arrangements for assessment and moderation of trainees within hub area.
  • Quality assurance of the delivery of the curriculum at Hub level, ensuring fidelity to the IFT curriculum and undertake self-evaluation and development planning at Hub level, to support and inform IFT evaluation and action plans.
  • Quality assurance of the provision of mentoring and provide termly face-to-face networking and training to support local context, to ensure standards of practice remain high.
  • Track and monitor the progress of trainees within the IFT programme to secure positive outcomes for trainees.
  • To work alongside the Inspiring Future Teachers Leadership Team to promote the IFT offer through local partnerships and attendance at local marketing events.
  • To organisation and evaluate ITT recruitment events within Hub area.
  • To manage the selection and interview process in compliance with the DfE ITT Criteria and IFT Recruitment Policy and Process.
  • To contribute to the annual review the IFT curriculum, assessment criteria, policy and frameworks.

About HISP Multi-Academy Trust:

Inspiring Future Teachers is part of HISP Multi-Academy Trust, a forward-thinking and evidence-driven organisation. We believe in building excellent educational environments that inspire and unlock potential in all our school communities.  We currently have multiple schools within our Trust covering the age ranges from nursery to 18 with plans to expand and grow quickly across our geographical location.

We have been designated, by the DfE, with two Teaching School Hubs covering Portsmouth, Southampton, the Isle of Wight and the Southeastern and Southwestern parts of Hampshire.  The core purpose behind the Teaching School Hubs is to become centres of excellence for teaching and leadership training and development.
