Meet the HISP Multi Academy Trust staff
Su Whelan
CEO
Su is the Chief Executive Officer for the HISP MAT which is a cross phase Trust currently with schools Hampshire and Southampton. The Trust is also the home of the Portswood Teaching School Alliance and LEARN Teaching School Alliance, HISP Research School, The Hampshire SCITT Partnership and a thriving NQT Appropriate Body. Su has worked across the south east on school improvement as a National Leader of Education. Over the past 5 years she has supported over 15 schools on their school led improvement journey.
Amanda Parry OBE
Deputy CEO
Amanda is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the HISP MAT and Executive Headteacher of Portswood and Tanners Brook Primary Schools. She is also the Director of the HISP Learning Partnership which includes the HISP Teaching School Hubs, HISP Research School, the Solent Maths Hub and the Hampshire SCITT Partnership. She is currently the Regional Delivery Partner for the DfE Trust and School Improvement Offer (SESL). As a system leader, Amanda has undertaken school improvement work across both primary and secondary schools.
Paul Goodwin
Chief Financial Officer
Paul is a highly experienced Chief Finance Officer, having worked as part of senior leadership teams in the NHS and Charity Sectors, driving transformational change and delivery in complex and fast paced operational environments.
Paul is a CIMA qualified accountant and is interested in driving continuous improvement to enable the Trust to reach its full potential.

Georgina Crooks
TSH Assistant Director
Georgina is the Assistant Director for the HISP Teaching School Hub. She has 20 years of experience in the secondary and sixth form sector and has led teaching and learning development through her role as Subject Lead for a range of English courses. For much of her career, she has also worked delivering professional development with a responsibility for facilitating whole college training and supporting PGCE trainees, early career teachers and more experienced staff through mentoring and coaching. She has a real passion for teaching and learning and supports a large secondary school as a governor and works with AQA as a Senior Associate.

Joe has worked at Thornden within the Theatre since he left school there. He now works within the Trust as well as Freelancing in the Television Industry.

Sian Taggart
Executive Assistant
Sian has worked in various senior administrative roles for 20 years. Having started her career in a Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) business she soon transferred to a national communications company, progressing from an initial administrative support function to a full project management role. Specifically, Sian was responsible for providing administration support to large internal departments, PA support to company directors and project support for large work programmes before being promoted to a project management role.
After a short family career break, Sian retuned to work at Thornden School, carrying out the Initial Teacher Training (ITT) administration for a number of years.
Sian is now looking to put her extensive organisation and co-ordination skills to good practice whilst supporting the HISP Multi Academy Trust.
